Your Tour guide Conrad Venter has over 10 years of cycling experience. While in grade 10, a school friend introduced him to cycling by convincing him to come on the annual school cycle Tour. He immediately fell in love with the sport. That is where it all began. After finishing school he started his career in a bike shop where he learned his technical skills as a mechanic and worked there for 2 years.

He then moved on to another shop for 3 years and its there that he really started making a name for himself in the SA Cycling industry. In the middle of the 3rd year he was approached by the Konica Minolta Cycling Team to be the full time team mechanic. The team was UCI continental registered and participated in a number of 2.2 Tours and 1.1 races all over Europe and Asia alongside some of the biggest teams in the world. He has gained valuable International experience. He looked after some of the best young talent in South Africa and the world.

He quickly proved that not only can he fix bicycles, he can also read races and work out race tactics. He was then put in charge of managing the team at a number of races to various victories and podium spots. This winning team has achieved big things over the years and Conrad is very proud to have been part of the success.
